Privacy Policy

The Distillers Workshop ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or book a class with us, and how we use it.

Last updated: April 2026

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Pick Your Poison Limited, registered in England and Wales. For any privacy-related questions, you can contact us at hello@thedistillersworkshop.co.uk.

2. Information we collect

We may collect the following information from you:

  • Your name, email address and phone number when you book a class or contact us.
  • Dietary and accessibility requirements you share with us so we can tailor your visit.
  • Payment information (processed securely by our payment provider — we do not store card details).
  • Anonymous technical data such as browser type, device, referring URL and pages viewed, to help us improve the site.

3. How we use your information

Your information is used to:

  • Manage your booking, confirm availability and send pre-visit information.
  • Process payments and issue receipts.
  • Respond to enquiries sent through our contact channels.
  • Send occasional marketing emails, but only if you've opted in.
  • Improve the performance and content of this website.

4. Legal basis

We process your data under UK GDPR on the basis of (a) the contract we enter into when you book a class, (b) our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, and (c) your consent for optional marketing communications.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate our business — for example, booking platforms, payment processors, email marketing tools and website analytics — and only to the extent necessary for those services. All providers are contractually required to protect your data.

6. Cookies

Our site uses a small number of cookies to keep the site working correctly and to understand how visitors use it. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect the booking experience.

7. How long we keep your data

Booking and financial records are retained for up to seven years to meet our legal and tax obligations. Marketing contact details are kept until you ask us to remove them.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent for marketing at any time. To exercise any of these rights, please email us. You can also lodge a complaint with the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
